This is a scary and uncertain time. The world around us is constantly changing and shifting to meet the challenge that COVID-19 has presented to our way of life. With all that is uncertain, remember to be grateful for the things you may have taken for granted, whether that be your loved ones that you suddenly get to spend a lot more time with or a simple commodity like toilet paper. Being grateful for what you have can help you feel greater security and peace during these difficult times. As Karl Barth once said, “Joy is the simplest form of gratitude.” I believe that works in reverse as well. Through our gratitude, we will find joy in these uncertain times.
